Chocolate

Chocolate Skateboards was founded in 1994 by Rick Howard and Mike Carroll as a sister brand to Girl Skateboards under the Crailtap umbrella. Born during the golden era of 90s street skating, Chocolate brought a looser, more playful energy to the scene—clean script logos, the OG Chunk graphic, strong art direction, and videos that felt timeless without trying too hard. The team has always blended style and personality with technical progression, helping define what modern street skating looks like while keeping things grounded and relatable.
The San Gabriel Valley backs Chocolate because it’s never felt forced. The graphics hit without being loud, the shapes are consistent, and the brand carries real skate history without leaning on hype. From parking lots in West Covina to curbs in Pasadena and schoolyards in Alhambra, Chocolate decks have always just worked. It’s the kind of brand that grows with you—whether you’re learning your first kickflip or still skating into your 30s. Clean, classic, and rooted in actual skateboarding.
