The Chocolate Deck Vincent Alvarez Cada Dia (8.25) embodies the fast, gritty, and authentic approach to skateboarding that Vincent Alvarez has represented throughout his entire career. Set against a bold, vibrant red background, the graphic immediately commands attention while maintaining the understated artistic direction that has long defined Chocolate Skateboards. Centered on the deck is an intricate illustration of a heavily loaded bicycle carrying an enormous stack of bundled cargo, balancing impossibly high above the rider. The image reflects the “Cada Dia” theme—Spanish for “every day”—symbolizing hard work, persistence, and moving forward regardless of the load you're carrying. The detailed black, white, and gray illustration contrasts sharply against the red field, while subtle blue accents on the rider add another layer of visual depth.
The minimalist composition leaves plenty of open space around the artwork, allowing the central image to stand out while emphasizing the deck's clean design. Natural woodgrain remains visible at both the nose and tail, creating a framed appearance that highlights the artwork without overwhelming it. Near the tail, a subtle Chocolate logo sits beneath small graphic details, reinforcing the company's refined visual style. Founded by Rick Howard and Mike Carroll in 1994, Chocolate Skateboards has consistently blended skateboarding, art, photography, and culture into some of the most respected graphics and videos in skateboarding history.
Built on the modern G052 shape, this deck measures 8.25" wide by 31.875" long with a 14" wheelbase. Based on the popular G027 platform, the G052 features a longer shovel nose, straight rails, and a full round tail that provide a balanced feel for technical street skating while maintaining stability at higher speeds. The shape offers excellent control for flip tricks, ledges, stairs, and rails, making it equally at home at local skateparks or pushing through city streets around Pasadena, Alhambra, Covina, and throughout the surrounding SGV.
As Vincent Alvarez's pro model, the deck reflects the personality of one of Los Angeles skateboarding's most respected figures. Born and raised in the Lincoln Heights and Ramona Gardens areas of East Los Angeles, Alvarez built his reputation through fearless street skating, relentless speed, and a willingness to attack difficult terrain. His rise through Chocolate Skateboards included standout performances in landmark videos such as Pretty Sweet, The Flare, Static V, and Duets, helping establish him as one of the defining skaters of his generation. Beyond skateboarding, Alvarez has become known for his DIY spirit and dedication to building skateable spaces throughout Los Angeles.
