STIX BLOG #4
Skateboarding is a tight knit community. So when Monica Hufnagel called the shop asking for a copy of the latest issue of Thrasher memorializing her son Keith, I offered to deliver it to her. We spent the afternoon talking about a lot of things, but mostly Keith, his family and friends. From his time in New York when he chipped his teeth skateboarding at age 7, to his days playing ice hockey and biking with older brother Chris. Going down memory lane, there were tears but mostly there was laughter. Skateboarding lost a heavy hitter. A mother lost her son. In the end thou, I was reminded how important it is to be present in mind, to hold your friends and family close, and to live everyday as if it's your last. Rest in peace Keith Hufnagel
