Zero Deck Team Blood Text (8.75) strips everything down to pure raw attitude. Part of the Curb Creep Small Batch series designed alongside Abe Bethel, this board leans hard into Zero’s darker roots with an oversized blood-red hand-painted style “ZERO” graphic slashed vertically across a stained black veneer. The lettering looks aggressive and chaotic, almost like it was thrown on with a giant paintbrush in the middle of a midnight curb session, with splatters and rough brush textures bleeding naturally into the woodgrain beneath it. The simplicity is what makes it hit so hard — no filler graphics, no distractions, just pure Zero energy with that grimy late-night street feel the brand has carried since the Jamie Thomas era.

Built specifically around Abe Bethel’s preferred dimensions, this shape was designed with curb skating in mind from the ground up. The shorter 13.75” wheelbase keeps the setup ultra-responsive and quick underfoot, while the stretched nose and tail give extra leverage for slappies, pivots, reverts, manuals, and awkward curb approaches. It’s the kind of board that feels alive underneath you once you start flowing through low-impact street spots, crusty parking blocks, and rough schoolyard banks. Around SGV spots from Monrovia alleys to Pasadena curbs and random industrial corners in Covina or El Monte, this shape makes ordinary terrain feel way more skateable.

Abe Bethel has become widely recognized as one of the most influential curb skaters in modern skateboarding, helping push “slappy” skating into its own respected lane rather than just a side category of street skating. His skating blends technical precision with creativity in ways that almost look impossible at times — long linked combinations that feel more like freestyle movement translated onto curbs and rough city terrain. After immersing himself in Los Angeles’ underground curb scene years back, Abe’s skating exploded online through clips filmed at spots most people wouldn’t even notice. His influence became so strong that Zero worked directly with him to develop these dedicated curb-focused shapes.

This limited edition Small Batch release was handmade at Zero and only a very small number of Abe-selected boards exist. That makes this one feel more personal than a normal production release — something built for skaters who genuinely appreciate shape design and functional street skating rather than just collecting graphics.

Pressed with a standard layup and made in Mexico, the board measures 8.75” x 32.5”, offering a stable platform while still staying nimble enough for quick directional changes and technical curb work. The wider width locks comfortably into slappies and grinds while giving enough surface area for transition, rough street terrain, and fast lines.
