Venture Trucks 5.2 High V8 Polished (Sold As Pair) are built for skaters who obsess over how a board really feels—turn response, balance point, and that “locked in” comfort once your setup is dialed. This set comes in a clean polished finish with a classic Venture silhouette: crisp edges, a straight axle, and a traditional kingpin/washer stack that’s ready for street, park, and everyday abuse. The High geometry gives you extra clearance for bigger wheels and a little more lean without instantly biting, which is clutch for faster park laps and crust missions alike.

The standout here is the Venture V8 baseplate, a true problem-solver for wheelbase nerds and anyone trying to make a “almost perfect” deck feel perfect. The V8 baseplate uses 8 mounting holes (instead of the standard 4) so you can move your trucks forward or back to fine-tune your stance and balance point. If the deck’s wheelbase feels a touch too long, you can pull the trucks inward and shorten your wheelbase by up to .5" total (about .25" per truck, depending on how you offset it). That means you can make a setup feel snappier, bring the rear truck under you a bit more for manuals, or push the front truck slightly to tune nose control—small changes that make a big difference once you’re actually skating.

Venture also added extra material at the pivot point on the V8 baseplate to help the truck slide smoother and more consistently while adding strength and longevity—exactly the kind of detail you appreciate after weeks of curb hits and rougher ground. From quick pushes and back-lot sessions in El Monte, to cruising cutty spots in Alhambra, to getting a full session in at the parks around Pasadena and Monrovia, these trucks let you customize how your board sits and responds without changing decks.

Venture has been a staple in skateboarding since the early ’80s, known for a responsive turn and a dependable feel that works across street and transition. The V8 system is a smart evolution of that legacy—keeping the classic ride, while giving skaters more control over their setup without drilling new holes or giving up the shape they already love.
