Stix SGV Skate Tool Premium Ratchet (Red) is a fully loaded all-in-one skate tool built for skaters who actually work on their setups regularly, whether that’s changing wheels before a session, rebuilding a complete at home, or tightening loose hardware in a parking lot somewhere around the SGV. Finished in a bright red molded body with polished chrome sockets, a black ratcheting collar, and removable driver attachments, this upgraded tool combines the functionality of a traditional skate tool with additional features that make setup changes quicker and more efficient.
The tool is centered around three primary socket sizes used for different parts of a skateboard setup. The 9/16" socket is used for tightening or loosening the kingpin nut on your trucks, allowing you to adjust how loose or tight your trucks feel while turning. The 1/2" socket is designed for axle nuts, making it easy to remove or install skateboard wheels. The 3/8" socket is used for mounting hardware, specifically the nuts that hold your trucks to the skateboard deck.
What separates this tool from a standard skate tool is the built-in semi-automatic ratchet system located above the gold quick-release section. The ratchet collar allows you to switch between tightening and loosening directions without constantly repositioning the tool, making quick adjustments smoother and faster during sessions.
Integrated directly into the center of the tool is a 5/16" axle rethreader, designed to repair damaged axle threading caused by overtightening or worn axle ends. Instead of replacing an entire truck because of stripped threads, skaters can often clean and restore the axle using the built-in threading die.
The removable lower driver section includes both a detachable Phillips head screwdriver and 1/8" Allen wrench, allowing compatibility with most skateboard hardware setups. The extended shaft also functions as a bearing removal tool and bearing press tool, making bearing swaps easier without damaging shields or cores. The textured metal surface doubles as a precision grip tape file for smoothing rough grip edges after applying fresh grip.
Additional removable 4mm and 5mm hexagon wrench functions are built into the interchangeable tool pieces, giving the tool even more versatility for skaters who work on multiple setups or different hardware types regularly.
The backside of the tool features recessed storage for the removable screwdriver attachment along with a printed STIX SGV logo, keeping everything organized and compact enough to fit into a backpack, skate bag, or glove compartment.
