The Stix SGV Deck OG Original (Black/White) represents a pivotal chapter in the history of Stix. Featuring the iconic OG logo in crisp white against a deep black background, this graphic traces its roots back to 2001 when we took over the original STYX Boardshop from Jared and began building what would eventually become Stix SGV. More than just a logo deck, this board serves as a direct connection to the early days of the shop and the foundation of a skateboarding community that has continued to grow throughout the San Gabriel Valley for more than two decades.

The graphic keeps things clean and timeless. A bold vertical STIX logo stretches nearly the full length of the deck, making an immediate statement without relying on complex artwork or trends. At the top sits the original STIX "S" emblem that became synonymous with the brand during its earliest years. The high-contrast black and white color scheme reflects the straightforward, skate-first mentality that has guided Stix since the early days of the shop. The top veneer showcases a warm wood stain, allowing the quality maple construction to remain visible while maintaining a classic skateboard aesthetic.

This deck utilizes the proven S Shape, one of the most versatile and popular shapes offered by Stix SGV. Designed as a true street shape, the S Shape features a round nose, tapered tail, and a shorter wheelbase that creates a responsive feel underfoot. The shorter wheelbase allows the board to snap quickly during flip tricks while maintaining excellent control for manuals, ledges, transition skating, and technical street skating. Over the years, the S Shape has become a favorite among skaters looking for a board that feels agile without sacrificing stability.

These dimensions create a balanced setup that works exceptionally well for a wide variety of skating styles. Whether you're skating curbs in Monrovia, schoolyards in Arcadia, ledges in Pasadena, or local parks throughout the San Gabriel Valley, the S Shape offers the familiar feel and responsiveness that many skaters continue to seek year after year.

Every Stix SGV deck is built around the belief that skateboard shops should contribute directly to skateboarding culture rather than simply sell products. Stix has remained independently owned and deeply connected to the local scene, supporting generations of skaters through events, contests, lessons, videos, team riders, and community involvement. The OG Original deck embodies that philosophy, celebrating the history that helped shape the company while remaining fully functional for modern skateboarding.

For longtime customers, the Stix SGV Deck OG Original (Black/White) brings back memories of the early STYX Boardshop era. For newer skaters, it offers an opportunity to ride a piece of local skateboard history while enjoying one of the most refined and trusted shapes in the Stix lineup.

Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
