Stix SGV Beanie Francis Pigeons Patch Cuff (Heather Grey) brings together classic skate shop utility, understated color tones, and the unmistakable visual language of legendary skateboard artist Todd Francis. The soft heather grey knit gives this beanie a worn-in everyday look that feels right at home during cold early morning sessions, night cruises through the SGV, or simply posted up outside the shop after skating all day.

Front and center on the cuff sits a custom woven-style patch featuring Todd Francis’ exclusive artwork created for Stix SGV. The graphic combines the bold STIX logo with Francis’ signature pigeon imagery — birds perched around an overturned trash can with scattered debris beneath, illustrated in his instantly recognizable hand-drawn style. The artwork captures the overlooked textures of city life that skateboarders naturally gravitate toward: alleyways, rough sidewalks, loading docks, drainage ditches, schoolyards, and forgotten curb spots from Pasadena to Covina and throughout the greater San Gabriel Valley.

Unlike cleaner commercial skate graphics, Francis’ work has always embraced the grit and contradictions of urban environments. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Todd Francis became one of the most influential artists in skateboarding through his longtime work with Antihero Skateboards and Deluxe Distribution. Since the mid-1990s, he has helped shape the visual identity of skateboarding through a mix of satire, environmental commentary, bleak humor, and raw illustration. His graphics have appeared with Antihero, Vans, Spitfire, HUF, Element, Oakley, and many others while remaining deeply rooted in authentic skate culture rather than polished corporate aesthetics.

The pigeon motif used throughout this collaboration fits naturally with the daily reality of street skating. Pigeons survive everywhere — industrial blocks, old downtowns, parking lots, train stations, and neglected corners — much like skateboarding itself. On this beanie, the artwork feels especially connected to the SGV landscape where generations of local skaters have built scenes in places that were never designed for them.

The beanie itself features a loosely knit ribbed cuff construction that balances warmth without becoming overly heavy. The soft 100% hypoallergenic acrylic fabric keeps it comfortable for extended wear while maintaining durability through daily use. The cuff folds cleanly for a classic skate fit, while the approximate 10-inch uncuffed length gives enough depth to wear snug or slightly relaxed depending on preference. The heather grey colorway keeps things versatile and easy to pair with flannels, hoodies, jackets, or everyday skate gear without overpowering the artwork patch.

Built with a timeless silhouette inspired by classic knit styles dating back to the 1970s, the Stix SGV Beanie Francis Pigeons Patch Cuff (Heather Grey) feels less like a trend piece and more like something that naturally becomes part of the regular rotation — whether you’re skating through South Pas at night, catching cold mornings in Monrovia, or heading up toward Claremont during winter sessions.

Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
