Real Deck Max Schaaf 4Q Cathedral (8.5) is a striking blend of skateboarding, art, and symbolism, pulling you in the moment you see it. The graphic reads like stained glass—layered amber, gold, deep red, and charcoal tones arranged in a cathedral-style window that runs nose to tail. Ornate arches, circular motifs, and flowing metallic-style linework frame the central 4Q emblem, giving the deck a heavy, almost sacred presence. The artwork feels intentional and timeless, with subtle texture and depth that looks just as good leaned against a wall as it does rolling through crusty streets.

Max Schaaf comes out of Oakland, and his legacy in skateboarding reaches far beyond just riding a board. Known equally for his powerful, raw approach to skating and his work as an artist for brands like Antihero, Real, and others, Max embodies the DIY, no-compromise spirit that shaped modern street and transition skating. His influence is felt in places like the San Gabriel Valley, where skaters appreciate boards that carry real weight—both visually and culturally—whether they’re pushing through older SGV spots or posting up at familiar neighborhood curbs and banks.

Built with REAL R1 Construction, this pro model delivers the durability and consistent pop that Real Skateboards is known for. The 8.5" width provides stability and confidence for bigger skating, while the 31.8" length and 14.25" wheelbase keep it responsive enough for street lines and transition flow. Pressed from hard rock sugar maple using a traditional 7-ply construction, the board is made to take impact and keep its shape session after session. Finished with an assorted top stain, each deck has its own subtle variation while staying true to the core graphic.
