Quasi Deck Jake Johnson Exalt (8.5) brings Jake Johnson’s pro-model energy into a clean, full-dip Quasi graphic with a light grey base and sharp experimental details throughout. The bottom graphic features a black spray-style human figure near the nose with arms raised over a pale blue triangle, a large black “J” through the middle, and an orange burst cutting through the letter. Below that, “ACID-PLY” and “Jake Johnson” sit in small type, while the tail section carries a black-and-white optical ring, soft white hexagon patterning, and a small orange Quasi logo hit. The whole deck feels stripped down but strange, technical, and very Quasi.

At 8.5" wide by 32.25" long with a 14.5" wheelbase, this board is built for skaters who like a little more board under their feet and added stability at speed. The Q38 shape uses a stretched-out wheelbase with symmetrical kicks, giving it a strong feel for fast street skating, wallrides, concrete parks, transitions, and bigger setups. The mellow-to-medium concave with a snappy steep kick keeps it responsive without feeling overly aggressive, and the traditional 7-ply North American hard rock maple construction is cold-pressed at BBS/Generator for dependable pop and durability.

Jake Johnson is one of those skaters whose name carries real weight. Coming out of State College, Pennsylvania, he built a reputation through raw East Coast terrain, massive wallrides, creative no-comply variations, and a low-profile approach that made his footage feel even more important when it dropped. His breakout part in Alien Workshop’s Mind Field helped reshape what street skating could look like, and his later work with Quasi, GX1000, Converse CONS, Dickies, Independent, and OJ Wheels kept him tied to skating that values spot selection, power, and originality over hype.

Quasi was built out of the post-Alien Workshop/Mother Collective world, with Chad Bowers behind the brand’s direction and Jake Johnson, Gilbert Crockett, and Tyler Bledsoe tied to its early foundation. That history matters on this deck because it is not just a logo board—it reflects the kind of independent, art-driven skateboarding that Quasi has always pushed. Around Monrovia, Pasadena, Arcadia, Duarte, Covina, Glendora, Claremont, and South Pasadena, this is a strong choice for skaters who want an 8.5" board with real shape, real rider history, and a graphic that feels different from the standard wall.
