Powell Peralta Deck Old School Ripper 16 Silver Foil (10.0) brings one of skateboarding’s most recognizable graphics back in a bold, collectible old-school shape. The bottom graphic features the legendary Powell Peralta Ripper breaking through the deck with red eyes, white skeletal hands, and bright blue torn-edge detail. Behind it, the entire bottom is covered in wavy black-and-silver foil stripes, giving the board a reflective, high-contrast finish that feels straight out of Powell’s classic era while still standing out on the wall or under your feet.
The top side keeps it raw and premium with a dark dyed wood veneer that shows natural grain throughout the entire board. A smaller blue Powell Peralta dragon graphic sits near the center, giving the top a clean dealer-style look without overpowering the shape. Because of the dyed veneer and foil process, each deck has its own slight variations, making every one feel a little different. The silver foil bottom is meant to catch light, but it should be handled carefully if you are keeping it as a collector piece, since foil and ink finishes can scratch more easily than standard printed graphics.
This deck is built on Powell Peralta’s old-school Shape 265, measuring 10.0" wide x 30.0" long with a 16.25" wheelbase, 3.0" nose, and 5.95" tail. It uses 7-ply maple construction, SP0 concave, no wheel wells, and a Long 4 — 2.5" old school truck hole pattern, giving it that authentic reissue feel for riders who want a wider platform, classic stance, pool/cruiser stability, or a true ’80s-inspired setup. The wide 10" shape gives your front foot plenty of room, while the longer wheelbase adds a more stable, surfy feel for carving, transition, and cruising around local SGV spots.
Powell Peralta was built by George Powell and Stacy Peralta, two names that helped define skateboarding’s golden era through the Bones Brigade, iconic board shapes, and some of the most important graphics ever put on a skateboard. The Ripper was originally illustrated in 1983 by legendary Powell Peralta artist Vernon Courtlandt Johnson, first appearing as a “Bones Sold Here” dealer window sticker before becoming a staple on shirts, decks, and skate shop walls worldwide. Around shops like ours, graphics like this still carry weight because they connect generations—from older riders who remember the original era to younger skaters discovering the history for the first time.
Made with Powell Peralta’s reissue construction in partnership with their manufacturer in Mexico, this deck uses U.S. hard rock maple and glue built to Powell’s specifications. That matters because good maple, proper pressing, and consistent quality control are what give a reissue deck the right feel, strength, and longevity.
