On Hollywood Tee Misfits New Skull S/S (Black) is as direct and heavy as it gets—no filler, just one of the most recognizable graphics in punk history blown up and centered the right way. The front hits with the iconic Misfits logo across the chest in rough, distressed white lettering, sitting just above the oversized skull graphic that dominates the entire tee. The skull—hollow eyes, stretched grin, and gritty, imperfect edges—feels raw and almost screen-burned into the black cotton, giving it that worn-in, lived-through feel straight out of a flyer stack or back patch lineup.
The contrast is everything here. Deep black fabric against stark white ink keeps the design aggressive and readable from any distance. The print is intentionally oversized, pushing toward the edges of the shirt without feeling cropped, making it the kind of graphic that doesn’t hide—it announces itself. Up close, the texture of the print carries slight distressing, adding to that DIY, photocopied aesthetic that’s always been tied to punk and skate culture alike.
The tee itself is a classic short sleeve cut with a standard crew neck, built to be worn hard. It’s the kind of piece that feels natural whether you’re skating rough ground in El Monte, posted at a ledge in San Dimas, or just running through the SGV on a late push. It doesn’t try to be clean—it’s meant to look better the more it gets used.
Formed in 1977 in New Jersey, the Misfits carved out their own lane with a mix of horror imagery, fast tempos, and stripped-down energy that would go on to influence generations. That same energy found its way into skateboarding early and stuck. Tracks like “London Dungeon” backing Mike Maldonado in Welcome to Hell and “Die, Die My Darling” in Chris Cole’s In Bloom part helped define eras, while deeper cuts like “Hybrid Moments” and “She” have continued to show up across videos for decades. The connection feels natural—fast, aggressive, and unapologetic.
Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
