On Hollywood Tee Doors Stage S/S (White) captures a raw, unfiltered moment from one of the most unpredictable frontmen in rock history and places it front and center on a clean white canvas. The graphic leads with The Doors logo across the chest, printed in a bold, geometric black typeface that’s instantly recognizable—tight, structured lettering that contrasts perfectly against the chaos below it.

Beneath the logo sits a black-and-white stage photograph of Jim Morrison mid-performance, collapsed forward onstage with the mic cord tangled beneath him, surrounded by a packed crowd locked into the moment. The image feels candid and heavy, not polished—grainy enough to keep its authenticity, sharp enough to hold detail. The rectangular photo block is cleanly framed, giving the layout a strong top-to-bottom flow without overfilling the tee.

The shirt itself is a standard white short sleeve with a classic crew neck, built for everyday wear. The cotton base keeps it breathable and easy, whether you’re skating through Duarte, cooling off after a session in Baldwin Park, or just keeping it simple around the SGV. The white backdrop lets the black ink and grayscale photography do all the talking—nothing extra, nothing forced.

The Doors, formed in Los Angeles in 1965, became one of the defining bands of the late ‘60s, blending psychedelic rock, blues, and poetry into something that felt completely their own. Jim Morrison’s stage presence—unpredictable, intense, and often chaotic—is exactly what’s captured here. That same energy has always translated into skateboarding, where music like theirs adds a different kind of tone to footage. Ocean Howell’s part in H-Street’s Next set the bar early with “Take It As It Comes,” while later projects like Osiris’ The Storm used “Riders on the Storm” to build atmosphere. Even outside of skate videos, The Doors’ influence carried into visual projects like the L.A. Woman anniversary video, featuring skaters hitting iconic Los Angeles spots tied to the band’s history.

Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
