Krooked Deck Gonz Hard 2 Hitt (9.81) takes Mark Gonzales’ raw, unmistakable artwork and puts it on a big shaped platform built for skating fast, carving hard, and bringing pure personality back into a setup. Everything about this board feels unapologetically Gonz — weird in the best possible way, loose, artistic, and deeply connected to the roots of street skating.

The graphic features Gonz’s signature hand-drawn character centered inside a rough yellow burst against a bright red-orange background. The figure’s crossed-out eyes, stiff posture, and uneven linework create that classic uncomfortable humor Gonz has built his art around for decades. The striped polo in green, black, and pale blue contrasts sharply against the warm background tones, while the jagged “Hard2Hitt” lettering beneath the character looks intentionally chaotic and fragmented. Small arrows pierce through the lower graphic while Gonz’s yellow signature script sits cleanly near the tail, balancing out the messy energy of the illustration.

The larger 9.81 shape gives the board a completely different feel from modern standard popsicles. With its fuller width, rounded shape, and longer standing platform, this deck feels built for deep carving, transition skating, pool coping, rough terrain, curb sessions, and powerful cruising through crusty streets. At 32.06" long with a 14.37" wheelbase, it still keeps enough responsiveness to stay functional while offering the kind of control and comfort bigger boards are loved for. Whether it’s bombing hills near the foothills, slashing parking blocks around the SGV, or taking wide lines through older parks around Pasadena and Covina, this board feels made for creative skating rather than robotic repetition.

Founded by Mark Gonzales in 2002 under Deluxe Distribution, Krooked Skateboards reflects Gonz’s personality completely — art-driven, unpredictable, funny, and deeply rooted in skateboarding culture. Gonz himself remains one of the most important skateboarders of all time, credited with helping pioneer modern street skating through early handrail tricks, creative use of public architecture, and legendary video parts like Blind’s Video Days. Beyond skating, his influence extends into art, poetry, film, and design, making him one of skateboarding’s true cultural icons rather than just a pro skater.

The Krooked Deck Gonz Hard 2 Hitt (9.81) feels less like a manufactured product and more like a moving piece of Gonz’s sketchbook — built to actually skate, destroy, and create memories on instead of just collecting dust.

Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
