Hook-Ups Deck Mariko (8.25) keeps the classic Hook-Ups formula front and center: bold anime-style artwork, bright color, and that unmistakable late-’90s/early-2000s skate-shop wall energy. The deck features a teal stained wood background with visible grain running through the length of the board, giving the graphic a clean contrast against the warm natural ply edges. At the top, the red-and-white Hook-Ups logo sits over the phrase “The Original Brand,” with small Japanese-style text worked into the layout for that signature import-anime influence the brand is known for.

The main artwork shows Mariko in a glossy illustrated pin-up style, with long dark hair, green eyes, red gloves, and a white outfit accented by small red and yellow details. The composition fills the board vertically, making the graphic feel bold without overcrowding the shape. Hook-Ups was founded by professional skateboarder and artist Jeremy Klein, whose anime-driven graphics helped make the brand one of skateboarding’s most recognizable cult names. The Mariko graphic fits right into that legacy, carrying the same mix of skateboarding, illustration, humor, and underground collector appeal that made Hook-Ups a staple in core shops like ours.
