Heroin Deck Hayate Kamimura Fox Shovel (8.75) looks exactly like the kind of board that could only come from the warped universe of Heroin Skateboards — loud, strange, funny, aggressive, and impossible to ignore. The graphic features a crazed orange fox devouring a melting mint-green ice cream cone against a bright slime-green stained veneer background that practically glows off the wall. Ice cream splatters explode across the graphic while the fox’s oversized eyes and stretched jaw push the artwork into full mutant-cartoon territory. The bottom logo treatment drips and melts into the woodgrain with a toxic slime-style font that perfectly matches the chaotic energy of the illustration.
The deck carries that unmistakable Heroin visual identity built by founder Mark “Fos” Foster, whose approach to skateboarding helped redefine modern curb and street skating through weird shapes, DIY energy, and anti-clean aesthetics. Fos built Heroin around creativity over perfection, encouraging skating that feels raw, entertaining, and unpredictable rather than robotic or contest-focused. The Fox Shovel graphic fully embraces that mindset — weird humor mixed with rough illustration work and unapologetic skate-rat personality.
This is the debut pro model for Hayate Kamimura, one of Japan’s most naturally creative skateboarders. Raised in Osaka’s underground skate scene and mentored by the legendary Osaka Daggers crew, Hayate became known for his insanely fast feet, unconventional trick selection, and ability to make difficult skating look chaotic but completely controlled. His skating style blends technical precision with pure instinct, making him a perfect fit for Heroin’s “mutate or die” philosophy. Watching Hayate skate feels less like watching planned lines and more like watching someone improvise their way through impossible terrain — the same energy that makes rough SGV spots around Alhambra, Pasadena, or old industrial cuts in the Valley so fun to skate in the first place.
Built at 8.88” x 31.4” with a responsive 14.0” wheelbase, the Fox Shovel shape was specifically designed around Hayate’s technical street approach. The wider platform and expanded shovel-style nose give the deck extra surface area for wallrides, quick-footed flip tricks, and awkward creative setups while still feeling agile underfoot. The shorter wheelbase keeps the board responsive and easy to maneuver despite the wider width, making it ideal for skaters who like stability without sacrificing control.
Pressed by legendary woodshop BBS Manufacturing, the deck uses 100% Hard Rock Canadian Maple construction for long-lasting durability, crisp pop, and consistent feel session after session. Like all Heroin decks, assorted bottom stains mean each board carries its own unique woodgrain and color variation.
