Heroin Deck David Alvarez Goofy's Grande Egg (10.75) is everything that makes modern Heroin Skateboards graphics so good — oversized, ridiculous, funny, personal, and completely rooted in real skate culture. The board explodes with loud neon pink stain beneath a cartoon-style illustration of a cracked egg character rocking a sombrero, blue skate shoes, tattoos, and a tiny mustache while rolling through a crusty DIY curb setup. The graphic feels chaotic in the best way possible, packed with hidden details that reward anyone who actually stops and looks closely.

At the top, the bold bubble-lettered “Goofy’s Grande Huevo” title uses green, white, and red coloring inspired by Cinco de Mayo themes, while the lower half drops into gritty DIY concrete textures layered with graffiti tags, scratches, curb wax marks, and local references tied directly to the Garvanza skate scene. The board includes nods like “GPARK LOCS” for the homies skating Garvanza Skatepark and “RIP AMAURY” honoring a friend who passed away years back — details that make the deck feel personal rather than manufactured. Even the tiny background scribbles, parking block textures, and rough concrete cracks feel pulled straight from real Northeast LA skate spots.

The included promo artwork pushes the personality even further, featuring a handwritten note from Mark “Fos” Foster, founder of Heroin Skateboards, explaining how the board came together as a Cinco de Mayo-inspired guest model for David “Goofy” Alvarez after years of appearing in Heroin edits. Fos built Heroin around weirdness, curb skating, oversized shapes, and anti-corporate creativity, and this deck fully embodies that energy. Nothing about it feels polished or overthought — it feels like a real skateboard made by real skaters for people who actually understand crust, DIY spots, and neighborhood skate culture.

This limited edition guest model belongs to David “Goofy” Alvarez, one of the most respected figures to come out of the Garvanza and Highland Park skate scene. Raised skating the rugged terrain of Northeast Los Angeles, Alvarez became known for his raw speed, aggressive curb skating, and deep ties to the DIY spirit surrounding Garvanza Skatepark. His skating carries that perfect mix of chaos and control that translates naturally from rough LA drainage ditches and sketchy curbs to hidden SGV banks, schoolyards, and blown-out parking blocks around places like Pasadena, El Sereno, and the edges of the Valley.

Built at a massive 10.75” x 32.4” with a wide 10.5” platform over the trucks and a stable 14.375” wheelbase, the Grande Egg is designed for full commitment skating. The oversized egg shape gives the board insane stability for slappies, transition, wallrides, curb destruction, and pure bulldog-style skating while still staying surprisingly maneuverable because of the shorter wheelbase. It’s the kind of setup that feels made for rough terrain, weird lines, and skating spots most people ignore.

Pressed by legendary woodshop BBS Manufacturing, the deck uses 100% Hard Rock Canadian Maple construction for long-lasting strength, consistent pop, and durability under heavy abuse. Assorted stains mean every board carries slight color variation and unique woodgrain character.
