Nike SB Shoe P Rod One Zoom Air Low (All Black/Gum) brings back the original Paul Rodriguez signature feel in a clean, all-black skate shoe with a gum outsole. The upper is done mostly in black suede and leather, with a rounded toe box, perforated toe detail, black laces, tonal Nike Swoosh, padded tongue, and low-top collar. From the side, the shoe keeps a stealth look with quilted heel paneling, subtle Nike branding, and a visible Zoom Air window near the heel. The gum rubber outsole adds contrast underneath, with deep traction grooves and a skate-ready tread pattern built for grip, durability, and board control.
This P Rod One sits right between classic Nike SB history and daily skate function. The cupsole construction gives it more structure and impact support than a thin vulc shoe, while the Air Zoom cushioning helps keep it responsive underfoot. The leather upper and quilted panels are made to soften and gain character with wear, so the shoe breaks in without losing that original 2005 look. For skating around Monrovia, Pasadena, Arcadia, Duarte, Covina, Claremont, or South Pasadena, it is the kind of shoe that works just as well for ledges and flatground as it does for everyday wear.
Paul Rodriguez, also known as P-Rod, is one of the most important street skateboarders to come out of Southern California. Born in Tarzana and raised in the San Fernando Valley, he became known for his smooth technical skating, clean style, and long-standing influence on modern street skateboarding. In 2005, he became Nike SB’s first signature athlete, and the original P Rod One helped define an era when Nike SB was proving itself in skateboarding. Over his career, P-Rod built one of the deepest signature shoe lines in skate history, earned major contest wins, filmed iconic parts, and later founded Primitive Skateboarding.
Nike SB is Nike’s skateboarding division, built around skate-specific footwear, team riders, and designs made to handle grip tape, impact, and daily sessions. This model connects directly to that early Nike SB legacy while still offering a functional shoe for today’s skaters.
