Foundation Deck Julian Lewis Scissors (8.38) hits with a raw, stripped-down visual that feels exactly like the way Julian skates—direct, sharp, and built with purpose. Set on a rich burnt orange veneer, the graphic centers around a pair of oversized illustrated scissors, drawn in AJ Dungo’s unmistakable hand style. The lines are slightly loose but intentional, giving the piece that lived-in, sketchbook feel, while small details like the hanging tags and “Foundation” callout bring it back to the brand’s DIY roots. The blue accents pop clean against the warm background, making the graphic feel balanced without overloading it. It’s one of those decks that looks just as right getting scraped up as it does fresh.

Coming in at 8.38" wide, this shape gives you that extra bit of control and confidence—perfect for locking into rails, holding speed through rough ground, or just having more board under your feet when things get heavy. The 14.13" wheelbase keeps it responsive enough to stay quick, while the 7.00" nose and 6.88" tail maintain a familiar feel that doesn’t throw you off when switching between tricks. Built from 7-ply maple, it’s pressed to take impact and keep its snap, with a solid concave that feels consistent session after session. It’s a deck that leans into stability without feeling sluggish.

Foundation Skateboards, operating under Foundation Super Co. and led by Tod Swank, has always backed skaters who go all-in, and Julian Lewis is exactly that. Originally from Newtown, Connecticut and now rooted in Long Beach, Julian has built his name on technical rail skating and a willingness to step up to bigger, more complex setups. From heavy video parts like Star & Moon and Splendor to standout moments like his 50-50 on a 16-flat-16, his skating is all about precision under pressure. Off the board, his creative side shows through his sewing project, Eui Joo Denim, bringing a level of craftsmanship that mirrors the attention to detail in this graphic.

Out here in the SGV, this board feels right at home—whether you're lining something up in San Gabriel or pushing through a long day in El Monte, it’s built to handle it without second-guessing your setup. It’s not flashy for the sake of it—it’s functional, clean, and made to be skated hard.
