Hook-Ups

Hook-Ups Skateboards was founded in 1994 by Jeremy Klein, built around Klein’s love for anime, bold illustration, and 90s skate culture. At a time when most deck graphics leaned traditional, Hook-Ups pushed colorful, manga-inspired artwork front and center—creating some of the most recognizable and collectible graphics of the era. Beyond the visuals, the brand carried legitimate street credibility, backed by Klein’s technical skating and a generation of riders who connected with its unapologetically different aesthetic.
The San Gabriel Valley connects with Hook-Ups because it represents individuality. Skateboarding here has always had room for personality—whether you’re skating flatground in Arcadia or curbs in Monrovia. Hook-Ups isn’t subtle, and it never tried to be. It’s expressive, nostalgic, and rooted in a time when skate graphics really made a statement. Around the SGV, that kind of originality still stands out.
