5Boro Skateboards is a legendary New York City brand founded in 1996 by Steve Rodriguez, created to represent the raw street skating culture of the five boroughs of New York City—Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island—at a time when the industry was dominated by the West Coast. Known for its clean yet gritty aesthetic inspired by NYC transit signage, pigeons, graffiti, and 90s skate video nostalgia (notably the VHS Series), 5Boro has remained deeply rooted in authentic East Coast skateboarding while supporting efforts to preserve historic spots like Brooklyn Banks.
