The Black Label Deck Jason Adams Truth (9.0) captures everything that has made Jason Adams one of skateboarding’s most respected personalities for over three decades—raw individuality, punk rock attitude, artistic expression, and a refusal to follow trends. Built on a wider platform designed for powerful street skating, transition sessions, bowls, and fast lines, this pro model blends striking collage-style artwork with the unmistakable spirit of Black Label Skateboards.

The bottom graphic is a layered explosion of color, culture, and commentary. Against a vibrant backdrop of hot pink, blue, yellow, black, and white, the artwork combines poster-style graphics, stencil-inspired imagery, and mixed-media influences that feel directly connected to Jason Adams’ own artistic background. The design features multiple figures stacked vertically, including a robed figure holding a lamb near the nose, a large portrait centerpiece accented by flowers, fragmented text elements, and protest-inspired imagery near the tail. Messages and visual fragments overlap throughout the composition, creating a chaotic yet intentional collage that rewards a closer look. The graphic feels less like a traditional skateboard graphic and more like a street poster wall layered over years of culture, music, politics, and skateboarding history.

The top side features a vivid lime green stained veneer that showcases the natural wood grain beneath. Centered between the truck holes sits the classic Black Label flame logo, while the clean stain finish creates a sharp contrast against the heavily detailed bottom artwork. Because Black Label uses assorted top and bottom stains, each deck carries unique variations in wood grain and coloration, making every board slightly different from the next.

Constructed from 7-ply hardwood maple laminate, the Black Label Deck Jason Adams Truth (9.0) measures 9.0" wide x 32.62" long with a 14.5" wheelbase. The standard cut shape offers plenty of stability and board control while remaining versatile enough for transition, street, curbs, ditches, and pool skating. The wider platform delivers a confident feel underfoot, making it especially appealing to skaters who appreciate powerful turns, fast approaches, and a more substantial board presence.

Jason Adams, affectionately known throughout skateboarding as "The Kid," helped define an alternative path through skateboarding during the 1990s and beyond. Raised in San Jose, California, Adams built a reputation on creativity rather than technical conformity, keeping wallrides, slappies, fastplants, and aggressive terrain-focused skating at the forefront when much of the industry shifted toward highly technical tricks. His influence extends beyond skating into fine art, where he has become known for his intricate stencil work and visual storytelling. This deck reflects both sides of his legacy, blending skateboarding and art into a single cohesive piece.

Black Label Skateboards was founded in 1988 by skateboarding legend John Lucero, one of the most influential figures in independent skateboarding. Lucero's commitment to creativity, individuality, and skater-owned authenticity continues to shape every Black Label release. The Black Label Deck Jason Adams Truth (9.0) embodies that philosophy perfectly, offering a board that feels equally at home being skated hard through local transitions or displayed as a collectible piece of skateboard art. Whether you're rolling through the streets of Monrovia, carving bowls near Glendora, hitting curbs in Covina, or stacking clips around Pasadena, this deck carries the independent spirit that has defined Black Label for generations.
