Baker Deck Rowan Zorilla Block Busters Twin (8.38) looks like it crawled straight out of a corrupted sci-fi VHS tape, pulling heavy inspiration from the legendary mutation scene in Total Recall. The graphic references the grotesque Mars exposure sequence where Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character Douglas Quaid begins physically mutating — bulging eyes, distorted skin, swelling facial features, and total panic all pushed into absurd overdrive. Baker and artist Kevin “Spanky” Long reinterpret that unforgettable scene with a fully exaggerated mirrored composition that feels equal parts horror, dark comedy, and classic Baker dysfunction.
The artwork dominates the deck with a fleshy pink mutation portrait mirrored nose-to-tail across a deep navy and electric blue cosmic-style background. The stretched skin textures, popped-out eyeballs, exposed gums, and twisted expression all intentionally lean into the over-the-top practical effects that made Total Recall such a cult classic. The mirrored layout works perfectly on this board because the deck itself is built on a true symmetrical twin shape, giving the graphic a balanced visual flow whether you’re looking at the nose or tail.
This pro model belongs to Rowan Zorilla, one of the smoothest and most versatile skaters of his generation. Coming out of Vista, California and the legendary Shep Dawgs crew, Rowan built his reputation through an effortless ability to skate both switch and regular with almost no visible difference in style or control. His breakout part in Vans’ Propeller instantly made him one of the most talked-about skaters in the world, later followed by standout performances in Blessed and Baker 4. Rowan’s skating blends technical precision, transition control, and raw street power in a way that naturally fits rough Southern California terrain — the type of skating that feels equally comfortable on crusty SGV schoolyard banks, South Pasadena curbs, or fast lines through Pasadena streets.
Sized at 8.38” x 31.75” with a stable but responsive 14.25” wheelbase, this setup is designed for skaters who want versatility without sacrificing control. The slightly longer wheelbase helps smooth out faster lines and bigger terrain while the mellow concave keeps the board comfortable and predictable underfoot. The symmetrical twin shape gives identical nose and tail dimensions, making switch skating feel completely natural and balanced — something that lines up perfectly with Rowan’s style.
Pressed by legendary woodshop BBS Manufacturing, the deck uses 100% Hard Rock Canadian Maple construction for strong pop, dependable durability, and long-lasting consistency. BBS boards have become industry staples because of their reliable feel and ability to hold shape through real abuse, whether you’re skating transition, rails, ledges, or rough asphalt throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
