Ace Trucks AF1 Inverted Baseplate
Ace’s clean, high–polish base in raw silver looks purpose-built: a low, squared profile with the AF1’s reinforced geometry, white 96a urethane pivot bushing seated tight in the cup, and an inverted kingpin setup that tucks hardware away from grinds. The casting is crisp—countersunk mounting holes, embossed ACE marks along the base, and that signature compact stance that helps your board feel planted on ledges and at crusty SGV curbs. The included inverted kingpin tool bit slips into any skate tool or drill driver so adjusting on the fly—at Garvey, Peck, or the Monrovia park—takes seconds.
Under the hood, the turn is tuned. A refined suspension path smooths center-to-edge transitions for a cleaner carve, while the stock bushings hit a sweet split for control: top bushing 12 mm / 94a for snap and return; bottom bushing 14 mm / 86a for lean and cushion. Add two to your cart if you’re swapping a full set—sold individually means one baseplate per quantity. Whether you’re rebuilding a blown hanger or mixing heights for a tech setup, the AF1 baseplate gives you classic Ace turn with modern durability.
Ace Trucks came up in the late-2000s on a promise of turn—looser, surfier steering with bomb-proof castings. The AF1 line sharpened that vision with tighter tolerances and stronger alloy, earning its spot under countless street and DIY setups from Los Angeles County out to inland ditches and back.
