Zero Deck Team Punk Assorted (8.75) brings a loud, stripped-down graphic approach into Abe Bethel’s curb-focused world with a colorway that feels straight out of old punk flyers, DIY stickers, and rough parking lot sessions. The entire bottom graphic is dominated by oversized black “ZERO” lettering stacked vertically across a bright stained pink veneer, with scattered star patterns punched throughout the typography. The contrast is aggressive and clean at the same time — simple enough to feel timeless, but loud enough to instantly stand out hanging on a wall or rolling through a curb spot at sunset. The stained veneer underneath gives every deck slight tonal variation, making each one feel a little different while keeping that raw handmade aesthetic intact.
Part of the Curb Creep Small Batch collection, this shape was developed alongside curb-skating powerhouse Abe Bethel specifically for technical slappy skating and creative low-impact street lines. The dimensions are intentionally dialed in around responsiveness and control. The shorter 13.75” wheelbase makes the board feel quick and reactive, while the longer nose and tail give extra leverage for fast pivots, manuals, slappies, wallie variations, and awkward curb cut approaches. It’s the kind of setup that feels right at home weaving through crusty SGV parking blocks, hidden school curbs in Pasadena, rough alleys around El Monte, or long manual pads tucked behind Monrovia warehouses.
Abe Bethel has become one of the defining names in modern curb skating through his technical precision and ability to turn overlooked terrain into full skate spots. Rather than focusing on massive rails or gaps, Bethel built his reputation around creativity, flow, and absurdly technical curb combinations that almost feel animated at times. After immersing himself in Los Angeles’ underground curb scene years ago, he became one of the main figures pushing “slappy culture” into a respected lane within street skating. His influence eventually led Zero to collaborate directly with him on these custom curb-specific shapes.
This particular release is especially limited. Only a small batch of Abe-selected boards were produced, making this one of those rare Zero drops that feels more connected to an actual scene rather than mass production. Handmade at Zero in Mexico using a standard layup, the board delivers the classic responsive feel Zero has always been known for under Jamie Thomas’ direction while adapting the geometry specifically toward modern curb skating.
The deck measures 8.75” x 32.5” with a stable platform that still stays surprisingly nimble thanks to the shorter wheelbase. Whether you’re locking into slappies, blasting crusty banks, or piecing together quick technical lines, the wider shape gives plenty of control without feeling sluggish.
