The 161 size is made for bigger boards, with a 6.5" hanger and 9.125" axle, making it a strong fit for decks around 8.875" to 9.625" wide, especially boards in the 9" range. The taller 54mm axle height gives extra room for larger wheels and helps reduce wheel bite, which matters when setting up shaped decks, wider popsicles, or all-terrain wheels for rough SGV ground.
