The Nike SB PS8 (Wolf Grey), product SKU FV8493-004, is a leap forward in skate footwear, engineered to tackle eight core issues skaters have faced with previous silhouettes. Revealed during the Paris Olympics and scheduled for wider release in Summer 2025, this shoe serves as a tribute to Sandy Bodecker, the architect of Nike SB’s global takeover.
Designed with a lightweight Flyknit upper, this PS8 provides breathable support while adapting to your foot’s shape. Tumbled leather overlays cover the high-impact areas like the toe and eyestays, adding abrasion resistance without compromising flexibility. The layered panelling in Wolf Grey and crisp white, paired with black Swooshes and accents, gives the shoe a polished yet raw aesthetic that mirrors street skating's blend of grit and style. A small Flyknit tag subtly nods to Nike’s tech roots, while the tonal mini Swoosh near the forefoot adds a nice bit of layered branding.
Where the PS8 really shines is underfoot. A full Nike React midsole delivers lightweight, responsive cushioning, protected by a translucent icy outsole with a dual-pattern tread. A defined U-shape traction zone in the forefoot and heel ensures board grip and flick precision, while the midfoot cutout lightens weight and adds flexibility.
Key performance upgrades include:
Improved lockdown fit
Increased breathability
Enhanced flick response
Superior boardfeel
Elevated durability
Better cushioning
Modernized silhouette
Iconic homage to Nike SB heritage
From its clean-cut design to next-gen functionality, the Nike SB PS8 "Wolf Grey" sets a new bar in skate shoe evolution—perfect for those pushing the limits in the streets or appreciating forward-thinking design.
