JK Industries Deck Macross (8.5) is a layered tribute to Super Dimension Fortress Macross, featuring Komilia Maria Fallyna Jenius front and center, with Lynn Minmay positioned in the background. Built on an 8.5" x 32.25" shape, this deck delivers a stable, confidence-inspiring platform that blends anime history with modern skate performance.
The bottom graphic is composed like a classic ’80s anime key visual. In the foreground stands Komilia Maria Fallyna Jenius in her sleek, futuristic Zentradi flight suit. The armor detailing is sharp and mechanical—deep purples, glossy blacks, and metallic panel accents with bold shoulder insignias. Her short teal-blue hair frames her face, and her expression carries that composed, elite-warrior intensity that defines her character arc. As one of the most formidable Zentradi ace pilots, Komilia’s transformation—from enemy combatant to ally and eventual partner to Max Jenius—is one of the central cultural turning points in Macross canon.
Behind her, scaled larger and filling the upper half of the deck, is Lynn Minmay wearing reflective blue sunglasses. Her presence looms like a cultural symbol—soft yet powerful. Minmay represents music, emotion, and human influence in the Macross universe. While Komilia embodies military precision and personal transformation, Minmay symbolizes how culture reshapes war itself. That layered storytelling is exactly what made Super Dimension Fortress Macross groundbreaking when it debuted in 1982, later becoming part of Robotech for Western audiences.
The composition of the graphic mirrors that narrative structure: Komilia in the front, grounded and armored; Minmay in the back, elevated and iconic. The color palette—electric blues, glossy purples, skin tones against cool gradients—feels straight out of golden-era cel animation. Jeremy Klein has always drawn from this exact era of anime influence. From pioneering technical street skating to founding Hook-Ups in 1993 and later operating JK Industries, Klein consistently fused Japanese pop culture with skateboarding long before it was widely embraced.
At 8.5", this deck offers a planted, stable ride that feels right carving bowls in Pasadena or flowing through parks in Arcadia. The added width provides confidence on stair sets and rails around West Covina, while the 32.25" length keeps it controlled at speed across street spots in Alhambra and El Monte. For skaters across the San Gabriel Valley, this size bridges transition stability and street precision without compromise.
This deck isn’t just anime nostalgia—it’s a respectful nod to Macross lore, presented on a shape that’s meant to be skated hard or displayed proudly.
