Zero Deck Team Shattered Bold Assorted (8.75) takes the raw aggression Zero has built its name on and strips it down into a sharp, high-contrast graphic built specifically around modern curb skating. The bottom graphic features oversized shattered “ZERO” typography exploding across the deck in fluorescent green over a deep black background, creating a fractured optical effect that almost feels like broken glass or distorted neon signage. The layered typography stretches across the entire shape with overlapping lines and split letterforms that give the deck a fast, chaotic energy without overcomplicating the design. It’s bold, simple, and loud in the exact way classic Zero graphics should be.

Part of the Curb Creep Small Batch collection, this deck was designed alongside legendary curb technician Abe Bethel with a geometry focused entirely around slappies, manuals, wallies, and technical curb destruction. The shape carries a shorter 13.75” wheelbase paired with extended nose and tail dimensions, creating a board that feels extremely reactive while still offering plenty of platform under your feet. The setup locks into crooked grinds, slappy variations, quick pivots, and tight curb lines naturally — the kind of shape that feels perfectly at home on rough SGV parking blocks, hidden school curbs around Alhambra, crusty loading docks in Pasadena, or tucked-away DIY spots throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

Abe Bethel has become one of the most respected names in curb skating through a style that completely redefined what low-impact street skating could look like. While most skaters chase giant rails and stair sets, Bethel built his reputation through absurdly technical curb combinations, fast-footed creativity, and the ability to turn overlooked terrain into full skate spots. After immersing himself in Los Angeles’ underground curb scene years ago, he eventually collaborated with Zero and Jamie Thomas to help develop these custom curb-focused shapes specifically for skaters who value flow, creativity, and technical precision over oversized obstacles.

This release is especially limited, with only a small batch of Abe-selected versions produced. Handmade at Zero in Mexico using a standard layup, the deck delivers that classic stiff, responsive Zero feel while adapting the overall geometry specifically toward modern curb and slappy skating. The assorted top veneers are chosen at random, making each deck slightly unique while keeping the overall graphic sharp and consistent.

At 8.75” x 32.5”, the board balances stability and quick response extremely well. The wider platform gives extra confidence on rough terrain while the shorter wheelbase keeps the board feeling lively and easy to maneuver. Whether you’re piecing together technical curb lines, charging rough banks, or building out a dedicated slappy setup, this shape was made to actually skate — not just hang on a wall.
