Toy Machine Deck Ed Templeton Glob (9.0) delivers everything that has made Ed Templeton graphics instantly recognizable for decades — weird, playful, awkward, raw, and completely tied to the identity of skateboarding’s outsider culture. The bottom graphic stacks a series of hand-drawn “Glob” characters vertically across the deck in alternating shades of orange, lavender, and mustard yellow, all outlined with thick blue sketch-style linework. Each character has its own crooked expression, bulging eyes, uneven teeth, and distorted silhouette, giving the entire graphic the feeling of an old punk zine illustration or notebook doodle brought to life. The flat color blocking and intentionally imperfect artwork are classic Templeton — simple on the surface but instantly memorable.

The top veneer keeps things equally clean and strange with a stained blue woodgrain background and a single purple Glob character sitting centered above the Toy Machine and Ed Templeton text. The minimal top graphic balances the louder bottom art perfectly and gives the whole deck that unmistakable Toy Machine personality whether it’s hanging on a wall or fully set up.

Founded by Ed Templeton in 1993, Toy Machine has remained one of skateboarding’s most respected independent brands through a combination of iconic videos, bizarre artwork, and a team that consistently blends raw street skating with individuality. Templeton himself is one of the most important figures in modern skateboarding history — not only as a professional skater, but also as an artist and photographer whose influence reaches far beyond skateboarding. From classic videos like Welcome to Hell to internationally recognized gallery exhibitions, Templeton’s work has always reflected the weirdness, honesty, and DIY energy that made skateboarding feel different from everything else.

At 9.0” x 32.13”, the Toy Machine Deck Ed Templeton Glob (9.0) leans into a fuller modern shape that feels stable, powerful, and comfortable underfoot while still remaining versatile enough for street and transition skating. The 14.25” wheelbase keeps the board responsive despite the wider platform, while the slightly squared dimensions make it ideal for bigger transition, rough terrain, curb setups, or anyone who prefers more board under their feet. It’s the kind of shape that feels equally at home blasting through rough banks around Pasadena, skating crusty SGV ditches, or rolling deep transition lines at parks throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

The assorted color top veneers are chosen at random, making each deck slightly unique while preserving the same overall graphic aesthetic. Combined with Toy Machine’s long-standing reputation for quality wood and timeless graphics, this deck feels like both a functional setup and a collectible piece of skateboarding history.
