Fucking Awesome Deck Jake Anderson Prayers (8.38) blends fine-art reverence with FA’s unmistakable edge, built on the FA/Hockey original Shape #1 for skaters who want precision with presence. Measuring 8.38" x 31.75" with a 14.18" wheelbase, this deck offers a slightly narrower feel than an 8.5 while maintaining stability. Shape #1 features a steeper concave and the signature “shovel” style nose, locking your feet in for technical pop and confident control.

The top veneer reveals a rich emerald green stain with natural woodgrain flowing from nose to tail. Centered near the front truck holes sits a small FA world stamp, subtle and clean. Mid-deck features Jake Anderson’s name in bold black script, with “Fucking Awesome” printed just below in white. The top remains minimal, letting the natural grain and signature carry the aesthetic without overstatement.

Flip it over and the bottom graphic delivers a striking, monochromatic image painted by Tercer Mundo. A soft blue-grey angel figure appears in prayer, head tilted upward, hands clasped, with feathered wings fading into the background. The image has a misted, airbrushed quality, creating depth and calm intensity against the darker backdrop. At the nose and tail, embossed “Fucking Awesome” detailing subtly frames the artwork, adding texture you can feel as much as see. The graphic balances reverence and rawness—serious without feeling staged.

Jake Anderson, hailing from Ventura, California, is known for his technical, street-focused skating and long-standing presence in the Southern California scene. Having ridden for brands like HUF, FORMER, Skate Mental, and now Fucking Awesome, Anderson has appeared in Thrasher projects including his “STOP” part (2022) and various Spitfire features. A longtime friend of Curren Caples, he’s built his reputation through strong video parts and consistent street skating rather than chasing trends. He also released a signature shoe with DVS, reinforcing his roots in core skate culture.

The 8.38 width hits a sweet spot for skaters who want a responsive board without sacrificing stability. Shape #1’s steeper concave gives solid flick and board feel, making it well-suited for technical street lines and controlled high-speed approaches. Whether you’re navigating rougher pavement or stacking clips late into the evening, this deck feels purposeful and balanced.

The Prayers graphic carries quiet intensity, making it just as fitting for a serious street setup as it is for a clean wall display—but it’s built to be ridden. It’s the kind of board that feels right pushing through early morning sessions or lining up heavy spots across the SGV.
