Fucking Awesome Deck Elijah Berle Muerte (8.5) pairs dark, fine-art energy with one of the most powerful skaters of his generation. Built on FA’s Shape #2, this 8.5" x 31.91" deck with a 14.25" wheelbase delivers a traditional popsicle outline with a slightly more rounded nose and tail and a less steep concave, offering a balanced feel for speed, control, and heavy landings.
The bottom graphic is striking and moody. Set against a deep black background, a pale, ghostly skeletal figure rides forward on horseback, gripping a scythe in one hand. The horse is rendered in icy grayscale tones, muscles and contours highlighted with sharp contrast, while a skull hangs beneath the rider, reinforcing the “Muerte” theme. Subtle light bands frame the nose and tail areas, almost like brushed metallic accents, giving the artwork a framed, gallery-like presentation. The painting, created by Tercer Mundo, feels intense and cinematic—very much in line with FA’s uncompromising visual identity.
Flip the board over and the top veneer reveals a rich green wood stain with natural grain patterns flowing from nose to tail. Centered near the front truck holes is a small FA world stamp, understated and clean. Mid-deck features Berle’s signature in black script with “Fucking Awesome” printed beneath in white, keeping the top graphic minimal and functional. The contrast between the vibrant green top and the dark, haunting bottom graphic gives this board a strong dual personality—clean up top, heavy underneath.
Elijah Berle, raised in Santa Monica and Venice, California, is known for his raw, high-speed style rooted in Dogtown culture. Introduced to skating at just three years old, he grew up immersed in Venice Beach’s skate and surf scene. After winning Tampa Am in 2010, Berle turned pro and became a prominent Vans team rider with multiple signature shoes. Known for charging massive street spots and transitions with power and precision, he’s built a reputation on gnarly lines and uncompromising video parts rather than contest circuits. His presence on this Muerte graphic fits—direct, fearless, and unapologetic.
Shape #2’s more rounded kicks and mellower concave make it ideal for skaters who want stability at speed while keeping predictable pop for tech lines. Whether you’re hitting rougher pavement, long pushes, or bigger terrain, this shape keeps your footing locked without feeling overly aggressive.
The Elijah Berle Muerte graphic carries weight but remains skate-ready. It’s the kind of board that feels right bombing hills toward South Pasadena or pushing through after-hours sessions across the SGV—built to be ridden hard, not babied.
