Chris Athens’ first pro board for Deathwish captures his quick-footed, powerful style—silhouetted figures “dancing” across the woodgrain while a sketched bridge and dripping black branches frame the scene. That punch of day-glow orange looks like fresh paint dragged across a downtown curb—exactly the kind of mark you’d leave after a long session from Monrovia Park to the Claremont bowls. The graphic runs tall with Athens’ name stacked vertically at the tail, keeping griptape peeks clean while still popping in clips. Natural veneer top and bottom keep it classic; medium concave, full-rounded nose and tail, and a true 8.25" platform make it a do-everything shape for ledges on Myrtle Ave or high-speed lines through South Pas.

Deathwish—launched in 2008 by Erik Ellington and Jim Greco under Bakerboys Distribution—has always pushed a raw, cinematic take on street skating. Athens, the team’s newest pro, earned his stripes the hard way: heavy rails, fast manuals, and zero filler in recent parts and tour edits. This “Dance” graphic nods to that momentum—balance, rhythm, and the confidence to commit when the spot gets sketchy.
