Toy Machine

Toy Machine was founded in 1993 by Ed Templeton, built around a mix of raw street skating and unmistakable, hand-drawn artwork. From the iconic Monster logo to the Sect Eye graphic, Toy Machine always felt different—equal parts weird, honest, and self-aware. Templeton’s art direction gave the brand a distinct voice, blending humor, outsider energy, and sharp social undertones without ever losing sight of actual skateboarding. The team over the years has reflected that balance: creative, unpredictable, and fully committed when it counts.
The San Gabriel Valley connects with Toy Machine because it doesn’t try to be polished. It’s expressive without being forced and serious about skating without taking itself too seriously. Around here, skaters appreciate brands that let personality show—whether you’re skating a schoolyard in Arcadia or a park session in Monrovia. Toy Machine carries that slightly off-center energy that keeps skateboarding interesting.
