The Birdhouse Deck Tony Hawk Gargoyle (9.75) is a heavy-hitting tribute to old-school power, attitude, and the timeless legacy of the Birdman himself. Drenched in a bold blue stain and fronted by a menacing green gargoyle perched atop the Hawk crest, this board oozes late-'80s vert ramp energy with just enough modern build to rip curbs, parks, or backyard bowls. Sized at 9.75" x 32" and pressed with 7-ply North American maple, it’s tailor-made for riders who want that wide, stable feel underfoot without sacrificing responsiveness.
The reissue-inspired shape brings a dose of classic nostalgia while offering a ride that’s anything but outdated. Whether you're hitting vert in East LA or rolling around Monrovia's crustier spots, this board handles business. And that Birdhouse logo? Still going strong decades after it first dropped into the scene.
Founded in 1992 by Tony Hawk and Per Welinder, Birdhouse Skateboards rose out of the ashes of vert skating’s decline to become a defining force in street and transition skating alike. Through raw video parts, a no-nonsense team, and a refusal to water things down, Birdhouse kept the core alive while helping push skateboarding to new heights. And as for Tony Hawk, he’s not just one of the most recognized names in skating—he’s the reason a lot of us ever picked up a board in the first place. From the 900 to the Pro Skater games to pushing skateparks into small towns, Hawk’s influence runs deep—especially in scenes like ours across Los Angeles County.
Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
