April Tee Bright S/S (Vintage Black) delivers a clean but striking visual with a graphic that feels equal parts ethereal and raw. Set on a vintage black heavyweight tee, the front print features a glowing butterfly graphic in soft pink and icy blue tones, radiating outward with a slightly distressed, almost airbrushed fade. The wings feel like they’re dissolving into light, with subtle splatter and motion details that give it that dreamy, almost surreal energy. Beneath the graphic sits a small “APRIL” logo hit, understated but intentional, grounding the artwork without taking away from it.
The shirt itself is built properly—7.5 oz heavyweight cotton, garment dyed and enzyme washed for that broken-in feel right out of the gate. It’s soft but holds structure, with a slightly boxier fit that sits right whether you’re skating or just wearing it daily. The fabric has that worn-in vintage tone, not jet black, but a faded black that pairs perfectly with the softer hues in the print. Printed in the USA on a 100% cotton body made in China, the graphic sits clean without feeling overly thick or stiff.
April Skateboards, founded by Shane O’Neill, carries a more refined, detail-driven approach to skateboarding—clean aesthetics, precision, and progression. That same mindset shows up here. The graphic isn’t loud for no reason—it’s controlled, balanced, and intentional, just like the skating the brand represents.
Out in the SGV, this kind of piece fits naturally into the rotation. Whether you’re rolling through Pasadena in the evening light, posted up in Alhambra, or skating through Monrovia streets, it has that subtle presence—nothing forced, but it stands out when you notice it. It’s one of those tees that works without trying too hard.
Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
