Anti Hero Deck John Cardiel Flat Beauties (9.18)
The Flat Beauties graphic floats on a crisp white bottom that dissolves into exposed dark wood at the nose like a rolling cloudbank. Center stage is a miniature scene edged in warm tones: a musician seated on a blue cushion plucks a lute while a robed figure in flowing reds and teals adjusts her hair; a clay jar rests by the wall, and a framed picture of a white cow peeks in from the left—quietly surreal in that Anti Hero way. The lower field carries elegant Anti Hero script with John Cardiel lettered beneath the front truck holes. Top veneers vary, so each board feels a little different. It’s a graphic that reads from across the park yet rewards a closer look—perfect for pushing fast lines at Monrovia, cruising Old Town brick in Pasadena, or diving into the long campus cuts through Claremont.
Built to charge like Cardiel: 9.18" width x 32.62" length with a ~14.8" wheelbase, pressed in traditional 7-ply maple on a slightly shaped popsicle for a stable platform and snappy pop. Top-ply colors may vary.
Brand lineage: Anti Hero was started by Julien Stranger in 1995 under Deluxe Distribution (DLXSF)—a raw, no-nonsense answer to a stale era that prioritized road trips and real street skating over polish.
