Girl

Girl Skateboards was founded in 1993 by Rick Howard and Mike Carroll in Los Angeles, launching what would become one of the most influential brands of the modern street era. Built under the Crailtap umbrella, Girl blended clean art direction, strong video production, and a team that reshaped technical street skating in the 90s. The OG Girl logo became instantly recognizable—simple, bold, and timeless—while videos like “Mouse” helped define style, creativity, and progression for a generation.
The San Gabriel Valley connects with Girl because it represents balance. It’s technical without being robotic, stylish without trying too hard. From smooth park sessions in Monrovia to ledge-heavy days in Pasadena and flatground lines in West Covina, Girl decks have always felt right under your feet. It’s a brand with history, but it never feels stuck in the past—and around the SGV, that longevity carries weight.
