Lovesick Deck Team Coming Up Roses (8.25) captures a quiet, grainy moment that feels pulled from a late-night living-room set—Elliott Smith standing with an acoustic, sunglasses on, rendered in black-and-white across the full bottom. The modern popsicle outline and medium concave set you up for all-terrain skating from mellow schoolyard lines in Arcadia to night sessions in Old Town Pasadena. At 8.25" × 31.9" with a 14.25" wheelbase, it’s that versatile middle width—stable for pools and ditches yet still quick from flick to catch on Monrovia curbs.

The photo is by artist/filmmaker Ross Harris, a longtime friend and collaborator of Smith (think intimate portraits and music-video moments). “Coming Up Roses” nods to the introspective era that helped define indie music in the ‘90s and 2000s. Smith’s Portland-to-LA story, finger-picked melodies, and layered harmonies made him a cult favorite who influenced skaters and musicians alike—melancholy tones that somehow fit perfectly with midnight hill bombs and solo sessions. The deck is produced by BBS MFG for consistent 7-ply pop and press precision.
