Thunder Trucks 148 T-2 Frank Gerwer Grimple — Sold In Pair
The Thunder Trucks 148 T-2 Frank Gerwer Grimple bring DLX’s quick-turn geometry together with a tongue-in-cheek Grimple Stix graphic—Gerwer’s feral mascot grinning across a stone-raw, polished hanger. The new T-2 geometry is built to skate fast and feel locked: reinforced hanger ends with high-grade axle enclosures for longer life, a redesigned baseplate with rounded contours to increase baseplate-slide contact and reduce wheel drag on noseslides and tailslides, and a taller 54 mm axle height for more room to run bigger wheels with less bite. Newly developed tapered bottom bushings pair with Thunder’s Quick Turn Response for that classic, snappy Thunder feel right out of the box. Strong, quick, light—ready for gold-rail grinds in Monrovia, school-yard ledges in Claremont, or crust missions anywhere between Duarte dips and Arroyo banks in South Pas. Bushing color may vary. Sold as a set of two.
Behind the graphic, Frank Gerwer is a San Francisco mainstay and perennial Antihero mischief-maker—known for death-defying hill bombs, dry humor, and an influence that runs through generations of DLX pros. Grimple Stix grew from that same DLX camp energy—an insider, garage-brand vibe turned cult phenomenon, popping up on Thunder, Spitfire, and Antihero capsules with oddball art and limited drops that skaters actually ride. The T-2 Gerwer Grimple keeps that spirit grubby and fast.
Size note: 148 Thunders have an 8.25" axle width, the sweet-spot fit for decks 8.12"–8.38". That alignment keeps your wheels flush with the board for stable landings, precise flick, and cleaner grinds.
Features: Reinforced hangers, tapered 90a bottom bushing, redesigned baseplate for better slides, taller 54 mm ride height, Quick Turn Response, lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.
