Powell Peralta Deck OG Ripper Checker 17 Reissue Silver/Foil (10.0)

The OG Ripper Checker 17 Reissue in Silver/Foil brings Powell-Peralta’s most famous graphic to a wide, 10.0" old-school shape that’s purpose-built for backyard pools, curbs, and cruising long SoCal blocks. The checkerboard foil base throws light as you move, framing V.C. Johnson’s classic “Ripper” busting through in crisp black, white, and pop red. The top is clean black with the red dragon seal, and the long wheelbase and generous platform make this deck feel planted and predictable on rough LA asphalt.

Reissued on Deck Shape 265 with SP0 mellow concave, the board measures 30" L x 10" W, 16.25" wheelbase, 3" nose, and 5.95" tail—a sweet spot for stable carving with enough kick to pivot and slash. It’s drilled LONG 4 – 2.5" old school for true vintage compatibility. The silver foil veneer looks sharp under streetlights from Pasadena to Pomona and gives the graphic a depth you can’t miss when it’s rolling by.

Powell-Peralta’s reissue construction mirrors the originals from the ’80s: U.S. hard rock maple, pressed by their partner in Mexico to spec, warrantied against delam for its useful life. The Ripper artwork—drawn in 1983 by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson—started as a shop window decal before it became an icon worn by generations of skaters. From Dogtown influence to backyard ramp culture, Powell-Peralta has shaped the look and feel of skateboarding for decades with graphics that carry real history.
