The Black Label Jason Adams “Curb Surfer” Deck is a vibrant reminder that skateboarding’s heart beats in the streets—and more specifically, at the curb. Measuring 9.75” x 32.825” with a 14.5” wheelbase, this deck is cut in the brand's custom “Curb Surfer” shape, built for serious slashing, slappies, and tail blocks. The concave is mellow with a wide platform, letting you lock in on any sketchy terrain or crusty red curb with confidence and flair.
Crafted from 7-ply hardwood maple laminate, it's got the durability to hold up through relentless abuse and the pop to back it. With assorted graphic colors and top/bottom stain variations, every deck is slightly different, giving you that one-of-one feeling straight out of the shrink wrap. The bold footprint artwork and “Tail Block” directional indicators are a nod to Jason Adams’ trademark low-slung curb attacks and Lucero’s irreverent approach to graphic design. The "ONE WAY" arrow pointing down the center drives home the spirit of forward momentum—no rules, just ride.
Jason Adams, known as The Kid, made his mark with a mixture of punk style, raw trick selection, and deep roots in curb skating. His parts in Black Label and enjoi videos were packed with tail blocks, wallrides, slappies, and street transition before that became trendy again. Adams has long stood as a symbol of skateboarding’s working-class grit and garage-born creativity, always skating how he wanted—not how the industry dictated. This board reflects that same ethos.
Black Label Skateboards, founded in 1988 by John Lucero, has always embodied punk-fueled, anti-corporate independence, offering up shapes, graphics, and energy for skaters who prefer curbs over contests and soul over sponsors. The Curb Surfer is the distilled essence of that: loud, directional, functional, and unapologetically rad. Whether you're re-learning nose picks or tail sliding your local DIY curb island, this board screams: “Skate how you want, not how they tell you.”
